| Skinny shaming |
Skinny-means thin,an UNATTRACTIVLY THIN. In other words some people called them single haddi, papad, skeleton and so on. But there are some interesting to hear such things like..."You look like a Matchstick!"& "Ohh!look at her with no boobs and ass!"& "Do uou have an eating disorder?"& "Be careful u mightget blown away!"and the most common, "You shouldeat more!".
And this what people think skinny means. After saying these words like that they thought they might help us but these things doesn't make any sense to skinny people and sometimes they used as a laugh by cracking lame jokes. But,do we really thought that what does its true mean? IAM SKINNY,let me tell you
SKINNY - thin in an attractive way, a tall or long with skinny body part in an attractive way.
Skinny shaming is not a part of jokes and is never okay.
When I was in 10th grade, I thought everything is okay with me , with my body ,with my mental health. Still people were said those things to me and I used to ignore that things . I didn't pay that much attention to them. But when i went to 12th grade there's something happened to me,to my health and due to that I got too slim. Whenever I went to college (I was in dummy college) Girls used to came to me and said..."OMG,don't you eat anything, how skinny you have become?" Had anything happened to you? And not only one but also lot off girls came up to me and ask me the questions. That time Iam not that much comfortable yo heard their thoughts and comment on them. It was actually affect my mental health. I way used to think like them or maybe not.
I used to look at my hand wrist and thought "Are they really bony?" I know that's weird but those things are actually run in my mind.
In my Subconscious Mind, I really care about people what they think about me and I always around with the questions like "How they think? What they think? & Why about me?"
I'd told my parents that I want to gain some weight and I used to search a lot about "HOW TO GAIN WEIGHT? " But doing all of that stuff it really doesn't make any drastic change in me (body) but in my thoughts.
Now I think why should I change for people, why m'I hating myself for being skinny, Is it a crime? No, its not...One says that "Being unique is the greatest things that God gifted us ".just because of these WORDS it's drastically changed my thoughts and the view of myself changed. We are not perfect for others but we are perfect and beautiful for ourselves. We are always stuck in what society thinks and just because of that we forget to love ourselves.
"लोग कहेंगे, लोगों का काम है कहना " isn't it? People are too quick to judge but they are too slow to self reflect. There are too many judgemental people who judge without any thought and we have to just avoid that negative things that what people say about us and be positive because how we take it, its up to us and if we take that in a positive way then we realize that there's nothing wrong with being skinny. Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, so maybe we should support loving our body in any size and shape.
JUST BEING THE WAY YOU ARE.
